Kenneth Louis Spence

Kenneth Spence, 82 of North Mankato, was reunited with his wife, Judy on Thursday, January 31st.

Funeral Service will be 11:00a.m., Friday, February 8, 2019 at Northview-North Mankato Mortuary, 2060 Commerce Drive, with the Rev. Dr. Scott E. Olson officiating. Visitation will be from 5-7p.m., Thursday, February 7, 2019 at Northview-North Mankato Mortuary and one hour prior to the service. Burial with military honors will be at Woodland Hills Memorial Park in Mankato.

Ken was born November 6, 1936 to Ken and Louise (Locke) Spence in Mankato. He served in the United States Army from 1954-1958. Ken married Judy Wilson on October 20, 1962. Together they raised three children, Kristi, Jeff, and Ron.

For many years, Ken worked at Crown, Cork, and Seal retiring in 2002. He was also a member of the International Association of Machinists and Aerospace Workers Union. In his free time, he enjoyed hunting, fishing, watching the Vikings and Twins, working on cars, and especially spending time with all of his grandchildren.   
 

Ken is survived by his daughter, Kristi Makela of Mankato; two sons, Jeff  Spence of North Mankato and Ron (Cinnamon) Spence of North Mankato; six grandchildren, Lizzy, Jessie, Lauren (Nick), Gabby, Izzy, and Willard; and sister, Barb (Herman) Ramelfanger.

He was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Judy in 2012; and sister, Kay Czaplewski.
