Sandra Goodman

Sandra Ann Goodman, 61 of North Mankato, passed away January 18, 2019 at her home.

Funeral service will be 1:00 pm, Saturday, January 26, 2019 at Northview-North Mankato Mortuary, 2060 Commerce Drive, in North Mankato with visitation from 11:00 am until the time of the service.

Sandy was born October 1, 1957 to LaVerne and Mary (Krause) Jacobsen in Lohrville, Iowa. She graduated from Lohrville High School in 1975. She continued her education at Buena Vista University in Storm Lake, Iowa receiving two degrees in Criminal Justice and Sociology. For the past 18 years, Sandy worked at the Leo H. Hoffmann Center in St. Peter.

In her free time, Sandy enjoyed reading, gardening, and vacationing to any beach. She also had a fondness for animals, singing, and a great sense of humor. She will be remembered for her compassion to others, especially for the children at the Leo H. Hoffmann Center.

Sandy is survived by her significant other of 17 loving years, Nick Hunter; daughter, Miranda Goodman of North Mankato; sister, Carmen (Terry) Schamel of Lohrville, Iowa; brother, Norman (Jaclyn) Jacobsen of Mesa, Arizona; Extended Family, Bonnie Hunter, Ruby Bennett, Nicole and Josh Kuisle; nephews, Kian and Kolin Kuisle, Dave and Ranae Hunter; The Stone sisters; and her loving pets, Dolce and Minute.

She was preceded in death by her parents; ex-husband, Mark Goodman; and mother-in-law, Mary Goodman.
