Betty Joerg

Betty Ruth Joerg, 95, of Mankato, died Monday, December 3, 2018 at Mayo Clinic Health System - Mankato. She passed away peacefully with many family members at her side.

Betty was born January 14, 1923 in Mankato and raised by her parents, Anthony and Mildred (Schultz) Marka. She graduated from Mankato. On July 20, 1946, Betty was united in marriage to Carroll Joerg in Mankato, and they were blessed with five children. She enjoyed reading, crossword puzzles, and bowling into her 80s.

Betty is survived by her children, Bill (Paloma) Joerg of Stuart, FL, Dick (Audrey Morken) Joerg of Mankato, Mike Joerg of Big Lake, MN, Steve (Nancy) Joerg of Gretna, NE, and Bob (Julie) Joerg of Mankato; 14 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; and brother-in-law, Ray Krause.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Carroll in 1995; sister, Yvonne; and brother, Jack.

Graveside service will take place at a later date at Calvary Cemetery in Mankato.
