Sharon Kay Hanson, age 77, of North Mankato, went to her heavenly home on Saturday, November 17, 2018 at Laurel’s Peak after a lengthy battle with cancer.
Memorial service will be held on Wednesday, November 21 at 11:00 a.m. at Christ the King Lutheran Church. Visitation will be Tuesday from 4:00-7:00 p.m. at Northview-North Mankato Mortuary and will continue one hour prior to the service at church. Burial will be at Woodland Hills Memorial Park.
Sharon was born on April 13, 1941 in St. James to Leonard and Florence (Noren) Wolner. She graduated from Mankato High in 1959 and then graduated from Mankato Beauty School. Sharon was united in marriage to Darreld Pahl and they later divorced. Sharon owned and operated a beauty shop in her home in Garden City and then later worked at the salon at Mankato House, Oaklawn Health Care Center and retired from Oak Terrace Assisted Living. Sharon was a loving and social person. She loved spending time with her family and friends and enjoyed baking. Sharon was a member of Christ the King Lutheran Church and was a member of the worship choir.
Sharon is survived by her daughter, Marnie Stimpert; son, Mark (Amy) Pahl; grandchildren, Gared and Jordan Stimpert and Brandon and Brooke Pahl; great-granddaughter, Evelyn Kay Stimpert; brothers, Lindy (Jan) Wolner and Larry (Colleen) Wolner; sister, Liz Rosendahl; and many loving nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents and sister, Carol (Roy) Wendt.
