Donald "Donny" Eugene Anderson

Donald “Donny” Eugene Anderson, 70, lost his battle with cancer on November 12, 2018 at home surrounded by family.

A Celebration of Life will be held on Thursday, November 15 from 4:00-8:00 p.m. at Northview-North Mankato Mortuary (2060 Commerce Drive, North Mankato).

Donald was born on November 6, 1948 to James and Eleanor (Parsons) Anderson in Mankato.  He graduated from Mankato High School in 1966.  Donald attended South Central Technical College and Alexandria Technical College and received an engineering degree in Avionics.  Donald married Susan Dunn and they were blessed with two children, Trevor and Tarin.  Donald served in the United States Marines in the Vietnam War.  He loved Harley motorcycles, flying, hunting, lake life, scuba diving, and playing with his grandchildren.  Donald had a zest for life and was loved by many.

Donald is survived by his children, Trevor Anderson and Tarin (Dan) Nelson; Aaron Gardner, nephew raised by Donald and Susan; grandchildren, Alexandra and Ryder Anderson and Tobin and Brenna Nelson; brothers, James (Bev) Anderson and Dennis Anderson; special cousin, Chuck Parsons; and many other cousins, nieces and nephews.  He was preceded in death by his parents; sister, June Lamm; and brother, Jerry Anderson.
