Carol J. Seifert

Carol Jane Seifert, age 68, of Elysian, died on Tuesday, October 16, 2018 at Mayo Clinic Hospital – Rochester, St. Marys Campus.

Funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. on Tuesday, October 23, 2018 at Bethlehem Lutheran Church, Elysian. Visitation will be held from 9 to 11 a.m. on Tuesday, October 23rd at the church. Interment will be at Cedar Hill Cemetery, Elysian.

Mankato Mortuary is assisting the family with arrangements.

Carol Jane, the daughter of Leo John and Evelyn Augusta Rose (Knish) Seifert, was born on May 9, 1950 in Waseca County. She graduated from Janesville High School in 1968. Carol was previously employed by EF Johnson Technologies of Waseca for 44 years. She volunteered at the American Legion Post 311 and made many quilts for Bethlehem Lutheran Church, both of Elysian. Carol enjoyed fishing, deer hunting, playing bingo and cards, time at the cabin, and spending time with family and friends.

She is survived by sisters in law, Norma Seifert of Elysian and Doris Seifert of Mankato; nieces and nephews, Steve (Gloria) Seifert, Wayne (Pat) Seifert, Sue (Jim) Miller, Bea Seifert (Chuck), Chris Schmidt (Mark), Karin Seifert (Chuck), Mark Seifert, and Sharon Seifert (Doug); and many other relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents; daughter, Stephanie Frances Seifert; and brothers, Kenneth Seifert, Roland Seifert and Robert (Marilyn) Seifert.
