Barbara Annette Dirckx

Barbara Annette Dirckx, age 59 of Mankato, was called home to her heavenly Father on October 1, 2018.

Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11 a.m. on Friday, October 5, 2018 at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church in Mankato. Interment will be at Calvary Cemetery in Mankato at a later date.

Visitation will be held at the church on Friday from 9 to 11 a.m.

Mankato Mortuary is assisting the family with arrangements.

Barbara, the daughter of Barney and Ruth (Coan) Rivers, was born on July 7, 1959 in Mankato. She graduated from East High School in 1977. In 1980, she married Ronald Roberts and they later divorced. She married Robert Dirckx on May 10, 2008. Barbara was previously employed by the Mankato Feed Service Co. for 36 years. She loved spending time with her grandchildren and cats and she also enjoyed going to the casino and word puzzles.

She is survived by her husband, Robert Dirckx of Mankato; children, Michael (Gillian) Roberts of North Mankato and Samantha Roberts of Massachusetts; grandchildren, Mia and Megan; siblings, Nancy (Peter) Murilla of Mankato, Mickey (Tim) Liepold of Rochester, Scott (Karla) Rivers of Coon Rapids, and Kathy Jorgenson (Duane Adams) of Lake Crystal; and her godson, Peter Jr. Murilla of San Antonio.

She was preceded in death by her parents; brother in law, Scott Jorgenson; and her children’s father, Ronald Roberts.
