Rosella Elsie Buddensiek

Rosella “Sally” Elsie Buddensiek, age 102 died Thursday, September 20, 2018 in Shakopee, Minnesota.

Funeral service 11:30 a.m. Wednesday, September 26, 2018 at Good Shepherd Lutheran Church in North Mankato. Burial at Woodland Hills Memorial Park in Mankato. Visitation will be held one hour before the service at the church on Wednesday. Mankato Mortuary in charge of arrangements.

Rosella “Sally” Buddensiek was born April 30, 1916 to Herman and Amanda (Lawrenz) Wendt in rural Redwood County, Minnesota. She attended rural school. Sally was united in marriage to Melvin Buddensiek on January 11, 1942 in rural Redwood County, Minnesota. She worked for over 20 years at Madsen’s/Randall’s Grocery store in the produce department. Sally was a 60 year member of Good Shepherd Lutheran Church. She was a power shopper, enjoyed gardening, flowers and most of all spending time with family.

Sally is survived by her two sons, Aaron (Sharon) Buddensiek of Richfield, Gary (Ginny) Buddensiek of Shakopee; grandchildren, Andy of Shakopee, Kristy (Tony) Herrley of Hopkins, Neal (Jennifer) of Mahtomedi, Ryan of Richfield; great grandchildren, Luke, Katherine, Leah, Ashlyn, and Candice; brother, Lawrence Wendt of Lamberton; many nieces and nephews.

Preceded in death by her parents, husband and nine siblings.
