Candace “Candy” LouJean Friedrichs, 65, of Mankato, was called home to our Heavenly Father on Monday, September 17, 2018 at her home.

Funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. on Friday, September 21, 2018 at Northview – North Mankato Mortuary, 2060 Commerce Dr., North Mankato. Interment will be at Calvary Cemetery in Mankato.

Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. on Thursday, September 20, 2018 at Northview – North Mankato Mortuary and also at the funeral home for one hour prior to the service on Friday.

Candy was born January 9, 1953 to Carroll “Candy” and Lorraine (Rudenick) Hansen. She graduated from Mankato High School in 1971. On September 21, 1974 she married Randy Friedrichs. Together they raised their son Phillip. Candy worked for Johnson Fishing from 1968-1991.

In her free time, Candy enjoyed playing bingo, fishing, cheering on the Vikings and spending time at the lake. She especially enjoyed spending time with all her family and will be greatly missed by many.

Candy is survived by her son, Phillip Friedrichs; granddaughter, Kayley Friedrichs; step-granddaughter, Erin; step-great grandson, Riddick; siblings, Sandy (Wayne) Fahning, Paula (Bob) Blume, Bev Martens, Ron “Pud” (Peggy Volk) Hansen; many nieces and nephews; and she was like family to anyone that knew her.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Randy, sister, Renee Stoltzman, brother in law, Ricky Martens; father and mother in law, Paul and Sally (Weingartz) Friedrichs; brothers in law, Joe Friedrichs and Elmer Friedrichs; sister in law, Gloria Wilson; and niece, Candie Marie Wilson.
