Surrounded by a caring and loving family, the journey of Catherine A. Lyons, which began on October 5, 1955 ended on August 7, 2018.
A primary love in Catherine’s life was that of her husband, Patrick J. Lyons, of whom she married on April 30, 1974. Together, they nurtured a wonderful family of three children, Rebecca, Sean, and Anna. During her journey, Catherine cared for the earth by utilizing her talents of gardening, plant and nursery skills and even pursued a partnership with her son in a landscaping business. Catherine had many joys in her life, but her grandchildren provided her the most pleasure. Catherine’s spirit of beauty showed through her talents and loves of the arts, music, nature’s landscaping, and the lives of her grandchildren.

Catherine will be lovingly missed by her husband, Patrick J. Lyons of Madison Lake; daughter, Rebecca A. Lyons and husband, Darrell Ely of Eagle Lake; son, Sean P. and wife, Shelly Lyons of Deforest, Wisconsin; daughter, Anna M. and husband, Adam Truebenbach of Lake Crystal; four grandchildren, Christopher Kamolz, Grace Truebenbach, Eliot Lyons, and Owen Lyons. Also remembering and celebrating in Catherine’s memory are her siblings, Rita, Terry, Marianne, George, Steve and their beautiful families. Preceding Catherine in her journey were her parents, Allen and Jane (Palmer) Ross; and a sister, Jeanne.
A gathering of family and friends will be held from 4-7pm, Monday, August 13, 2018 at Mankato Mortuary, 1001 N. Riverfront Drive, Mankato. Cathy’s family will be holding a private celebration of life at a later date. Please share a memory of Cathy with her family at www.mankatomortuary.com.
