Dorothy was born November 1, 1915 in Highmore, SD to Chris and Zada (Christenson) Larson. She graduated from Madelia High School in 1933. Dorothy married Albert H. Leiferman on June 6, 1935 in Mankato, where they lived all of their married life. She was a member of Ss. Peter and Paul Catholic Church, Catholic Aid Society, Catholic Daughters, and Morning Star Rosary Group. Dorothy was an integral part of Leiferman Brothers Construction, doing everything from bookkeeping to painting and finishing work in the many houses they built. Her hobbies included reading, sewing, knitting and any other handiwork known. Her family will treasure the beautiful Afghans she made over the years. If she was sitting down, she was working with her hands on something. Many missions reaped the rewards of the thousands of mittens she made for them. She was an avid Twins fan, rarely missing a game.

She is survived by sons, Mike (Kathy), Rick (Sue) and Bob; daughter-in-law, Clara Jean; and many grandchildren and great- grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Albert; son, Jerry; daughter-in-law, Sheila; sisters, Evelyn, Meryle, and Zada; and brother, Sylvester (Bud).
