Barbara Gerlach

Barbara Jeanne Gerlach, 86 of Mankato, died July 15, 2018 at Monarch Meadows in North Mankato.

Funeral service is 11:00 a.m., Thursday, July 19, 2018 at Mankato Mortuary, 1001 N Riverfront Dr. in Mankato. Visitation will take place from 5:30p.m. - 7:30p.m., Wednesday, July 18, 2018 at Mankato Mortuary and one hour prior to the service. Burial is at Tivoli Cemetery in rural Mankato.

Barb was born May 22, 1932 to Walter and Nona (Ott) Vandre in Mankato. She graduated from Mankato High School. In 1968, she married Alfred Gerlach in Spencer, Iowa. In her free time, Barb enjoyed fishing, gardening, bowling, wii bowling, and especially spending time with her grandchildren.

Barb is survived by her children, Richard Ash of Michigan, Brion Danzer of Waseca, Jack (Cheryl) Burton of Owatonna, Stefan (Melanie) Burton of Mankato, and Anthony Burton of Centennial, Colorado; 10 grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; sister, Evelyn Fournier; and many nieces and nephews.

She is preceded in death by her parents; husband, Alfred Gerlach; children, Steven John Danzer, Michael Danzer, and Christine Danzer; and siblings, Val Vandre and Agnes Banks.
