Evelyn Roseberry

Evelyn Fern Roseberry, age 90 of Mankato, passed away at Laurel Street Memory Care on May 11, 2018 in Mankato.

Funeral service will be held 11:00 a.m., Friday, May 18, 2018 at Hilltop United Methodist Church in Mankato. Visitation will be 9:00 a.m. until the time of the service. Interment will be at Vernon Township Cemetery in Renwick, IA. Memorials preferred to the Alzheimer's Association. Sincere thanks to the staff at Laurel's Edge and St. Croix Hospice for their wonderful care and compassion. Mankato Mortuary is assisting the family.

Evelyn was born to Lewis and Elsie (Anderson) Howard in Red Oak, Iowa. She married Byron (Jerry) Roseberry in Red Oak on February 23, 1947. They resided in Renwick, Iowa, Garden Grove, California, and LeRoy, Minnesota.

Evelyn was active in the community where she volunteered in local elementary schools. She enjoyed line dancing as a member of the Red Hat Society. Evelyn also liked to golf, read, travel, and especially spend time with her family. She was a member of Hilltop United Methodist Church in Mankato and the Order of the Eastern Star.

She is survived by sons, Gary (Clare)Roseberry of Mankato and Alan (Phyllis) Roseberry of Mora, Minnesota; grandsons, Jesse (Kari Kramer) Roseberry of Eagle Lake and Jarett (Ashley Brinkman) Roseberry of Brooklyn Park, Minnesota; and great- granddaughter, Teigan Roseberry; sisters, Suzy (Kenny) Douma of Calimesa, California and Arlene (Cliff) Bonner of Huntington Beach, California.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Jerry Roseberry and infant daughter, Kathy; parents; sister, Elaine (Howard) Johnson; and brothers, Eugene, Floyd and Dean Howard.
