Elizabeth (Lizzie) Rose Reed, age 20 of Mankato, died Thursday, May 10, 2018 from brain cancer while surrounded by family at their home.

A memorial service will be held at 2:00 p.m., Tuesday, May 15, 2018 at Northview-North Mankato Mortuary in North Mankato, with Fr. Schneider officiating. Visitation will take place one hour prior to the service.

Lizzie was born November 4, 1997 in Mankato, MN. She attended elementary school at Bridges Community School in Mankato and finished her schooling at Mankato East Junior and Senior High School, graduating in June of 2016.  She completed one semester of classes at South Central College. Lizzie was a fan of J.K Rowling’s Harry Potter book series and movies and enjoyed playing the Harry Potter Lego games on her XBOX. She also enjoyed the television series Monk and BONES. When not watching Harry Potter movies, the T.V. series she loved, or playing on the XBOX, Lizzie enjoyed choreographing and performing hip hop dance routines.  During the week days, Lizzie did doggie daycare for her neighbor Becca.

She is survived by her parents, Russell and Sheryl Reed; sister, Renee (Kale) Karstens; grandparents, Bill (Betty) Berg, Bill (Barbara) Reed as well as her Aunt Luann and Uncle Steve Hoogestraat and cousins Kyle and Justin and Aunt Jennifer and Uncle Scott Schermerhorn and cousins Samantha and Sydney.
