William Robert Wilson, age 80, of Mankato passed away on Thursday, May 10, 2018 at Mayo Clinic Health Systems, Mankato. Funeral service will be held at 11 a.m., on Monday, May 14, 2018 at Northview – North Mankato Mortuary, with a visitation one hour prior.  Burial will take place at Union Cemetery in Mapleton.

William was born May 21, 1937 to Oliver and Selma (Voecks) Wilson.  He was baptized and confirmed at St John’s Lutheran Church in Mapleton, MN.

William worked for Wells Pre-Stress and retired from Electrol Equipment after 37 years as an Electronics Technician.

William enjoyed spending time at his cabin on Lura Lake, his travel trailer, fishing, hunting, trapping and re-loading shells.

He is survived by Audrey A. Spear, the love of his life; son, Michael Wilson; daughter, Kelly (Brent) Schnittger; son-in-law, George Spear; daughter-in-law, Maureen Spear; grandchildren, Michael Pacholski, Danielle Schreader, Courtney Spear (Andy), Emily Spear (Jesse); and several special cousins.

William was preceded in death by his parents and grandparents.
