Philippe Maurice Ernest Helouin, age 84, of St. Peter and formerly of Denver, CO, died Wednesday, April 11, 2018 at the Benedictine Living Community.
Memorial Service 1:30 p.m., Saturday, April 21, 2018 at the Benedictine Living Community Chapel, St. Peter. Northview - North Mankato Mortuary is assisting with arrangements.

Philippe was born July 2, 1933 to Pierre Adolphe Eugene and Denise Lucie (Descroix) Helouin in Paris, France. He earned his Law degree in France and immigrated with his family to the United States and Denver, Colorado in 1955. He served in the Air National Guard and became an American citizen in 1967. He earned his Master's in Finance from the University of Denver in 1968 and was employed in hotel and restaurant management for several years, finally working for the State of Colorado as a field auditor for 20 years until his retirement in 2001. Philippe was united in marriage in 1969 to Karen R. Munden at the First Episcopal Church in Denver. They were later divorced. Philippe loved and appreciated food and wine and spent his retirement traveling and cruising across the world. He donated to causes helping children and the underserved. In his spare time, he was a supernumerary for several productions for Opera Colorado. While a resident of the Benedictine Living Community he enjoyed visiting with the staff and other residents.
Philippe is survived by his two children, Kimberley (Seth) Greenwood of North Mankato and Marc (Beth) Helouin of Lille, France; four grandchildren, Piper and Parker Greenwood, Alexandra and Katherine Helouin; sister, Monique (Bill) LaVance of Switzerland; niece, Christine Battesti of Marseille, France.
Philippe was preceded in death by his parents.
