Arlayne Joyce (Hilstad) Flom, age 88, of North Mankato, died on Friday, March 23, 2018.

Memorial service will be held on April 28 at 3:00 p.m. at Northview-North Mankato Mortuary.  Visitation will be prior to the service from 1:00-3:00 p.m. at Northview.  Interment will be at Minneopa Cemetery.  Memorials are preferred to the American Cancer Society and Mayo Clinic Health System Hospice.

Arlayne was born on October 12, 1929 to Clarence and Elvina (Christian) Hilstad in Kenyon, MN.  She was baptized and confirmed at First Lutheran Church in Kenyon.  Arlayne graduated from Kenyon High School in 1947.  On October 9, 1949, Arlayne was united in marriage to Thomas A. Flom in Kenyon.  Two sons were born in this union, Robert and Gerald.  In July 1958 they moved to Mankato.  Arlayne was a 26 year employee of Pepsi-Cola, retiring in 1993.  Thomas died on July 29, 1990. 

Arlayne is survived by two sons, Robert (Lynea) and Gerald (Rebecca); two granddaughters, Cara and Abbie; sisters-in-law, Colette Flom and Joann Hilstad; and many special nieces and nephews.  She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; brother, Charles; and sister, Elizabeth Peterson.
