Mark Joseph Haefner

Mark Joseph Haefner, age 62 of St. Louis Park, died Tuesday, March 13, 2018.

Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00 a.m., Monday, March 19, 2018 at Holy Rosary Catholic Church in North Mankato. Visitation will be held one hour before the service on Monday at the Church. Mankato Mortuary is handling arrangements.

Born on March 21, 1955, Mark was the son of Walter and Darlyne (Meurer) Haefner in Mankato. He graduated from Mankato Loyola High School, continued his education in photography/graphic arts and enjoyed a lifelong career in the printing industry. Mark married his favorite red headed girl, Mary Schoessler, on June 24, 1988 in Vail, Iowa.

Witty, kind, generous and authentic, Mark lived by his values, sailed to his heart’s content and dealt others a great hand in life. A loving soul mate, devoted dad, and beloved friend, Mark’s legacy prevails.

Mark is survived by his wife Mary; daughter, Alyssa Haefner of Minneapolis; siblings, Carol (Richard) Boruff of North Mankato, Judy Probart of South Pasadena, FL, Kevin Haefner of Mankato, Roy (Scheila) Haefner of North Mankato; father-in-law, Conrad (Deanna) Schoessler of Westside, IA; brother-in-law, Rolly Schoessler of Westside, IA; sisters-in-law, Gloria Haefner of Mankato, Julie (Peter) Stodolak of Boynton Beach, FL; beloved extended family and dear friends.

Mark is preceded in death by his parents, brothers, David and Wayne Haefner; brother-in-law, John Probart; mother-in-law, Rosalie.

It's been a lovely sail.
