Arlene Margaret Coopman, age 80 of rural Mankato died Wednesday, January 24, 2018 at Mayo Clinic Health System– Mankato.
Mass of Christian Burial 11:00 a.m. Monday at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in St. Clair with Rev. Joseph Fogal officiating. Burial will be in Decoria Cemetery. Visitation will be from 2-5 p.m. Sunday at Mankato Mortuary and will continue one hour prior to the service at the church on Monday.
In lieu of flowers, memorials are preferred to a memory loss and care organization or to an organization of the donor’s choice.
Arlene Margaret was born on July 13, 1937 in Mankato to Carl and Irma (Schumacher) Ganzel. After graduating from St. Clair High School, she married Arthur Coopman on September 19, 1956 at Ss. Peter and Paul Catholic Church in Mankato.
Arlene was a member of Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in St. Clair. She loved to socialize with friends, was active with her card club and with Pioneer Power. She enjoyed cross stitching and bird watching. She spent a lot of time with her family, enjoying her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Survivors include her husband Arthur Coopman of Mankato; five children, Kathy Comnick and husband Wes of Good Thunder, Douglas Coopman and wife Ramona of Mankato, Karen Seppmann and husband Ben of Prior Lake, Darrel Coopman and wife Carla of Monticello, Dennis Coopman and wife Laura of Lake Crystal; many grandchildren and great-grandchildren; and many other relatives. Arlene was preceded in death by her parents; her brother Kenneth Ganzel; and grandchildren Courtney, Oliver and Natalie Coopman.
