Duane Elmer Johnson
Duane Johnson, age 76, of St. Peter entered fully into the presence of His Lord and Savior on Monday, January 15, 2018.
Duane was a man of strong faith, believing in the strength of Jesus Christ’s love for him and the power of the resurrection. His prayer was that everyone would come to know Jesus as Savior. John 17:3 “And this is the way to eternal life by knowing you, the only true God, and Jesus Christ, the one you sent to earth.”
Duane’s working career involved banking, teaching, business management, and accounting. His life was one of ministry to the Lord and to others. He was a faithful member of the Body of Christ.
Duane leaves behind his loving wife of 40 years, Janet, beloved son, Dan, beloved daughter, Liz, special grand dog, “Ace” and extended family. Duane felt blessed with a special relationship he had with nephews, Steven, Marc, and Michael Boese of Fergus Falls, MN.
A Service of Celebration will be held on Saturday, January 20, 2018 at Sunrise Church, 722 Sunrise Drive, St. Peter at 11 o’clock with lunch served afterwards.
