Ursula “Sally” A. Reintjes, age 89, of Madison Lake, died Wednesday, January 10, 2018 at New Perspective in Mankato.
Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:30 a.m., Thursday, January 18, 2018 at All Saints Catholic Church, Madison Lake. Visitation will be held from 4-7 p.m., Wednesday at All Saints Catholic Church and will continue one hour before service on Thursday. Interment will be in Calvary Cemetery, Madison Lake. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be given to All Saints Academy Child Care or Alzheimer’s Association. Mankato Mortuary is in charge of arrangements.
Sally was born August 12, 1928 to Adolph J. and Iverna (Miller) Fasnacht in Mankato. She was united in marriage to Anton “Tony” P. Reintjes on August 12, 1948 at All Saints Catholic Church in Madison Lake. She was a member of All Saints Catholic Church, St. Anne’s Altar Society, and provided day care at All Saints Academy Child Care. She was also a member of the American Legion Auxiliary Post 207 of Cleveland and the Madison Lake Historical Society. Sally enjoyed to crochet, knit, garden, sing, dance, and was a huge Minnesota Twins fan. She took great pride in her children and grandchildren.
Sally is survived by her six children, LeAnne (Rick) Jones of Blue Jay, CA, Mary (Gary) Haase of Cleveland, MN, Alane Reichel of North Mankato, Margaret (Paul) Leitelt of Munster, IN, Geralynn (Jerry) Kottschade of Mapleton, and Mark (Cindy) Reintjes of North Mankato; sixteen grandchildren; sixteen great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; four sisters, Zita Rohlfing of Cleveland, Tilda Schneider of Madison Lake, Dorothy Rasdall of St. Peter, Lucille (Lyle) Grothe Mankato; one brother, Joseph (Georgia) Fasnacht of Mankato; sister-in-law, June Fasnacht of Mankato; many nieces, nephews, and extended family.
Sally was preceded in death by her husband, Tony in 2004; infant son, Timothy Paul; son-in-law, Frank Reichel; grandchild, Kole Reichel; brothers, Cyril (Iverna) Fasnacht, Robert Fasnacht, Jerome (Evie) Fasnacht; sisters, Helen (Louis) Chatlean and Lorraine (Francis) Schraml; brothers-in-law, Bob Rohlfing, Eddie Schneider, John Rohlfing, Dewey Rasdall, Chuck (Irene) Reintjes, Art (Alice) Reintjes, Lon (Caddy) Reintjes; sisters-in-law, Marcella Fasnacht; Helen (Jack) Kopp.
The family wishes to extend a special thank you to the staff of New Perspective for their loving care for Sally over the past 4 years.
