Dolores “Donnie” Inez Wingert age 88 of North Mankato, died Tuesday, January 9, 2018 at Mayo Clinic Health Systems-Mankato.
Mass of Christian Burial will be held 11:00 a.m. Monday, January 15, 2018 at Holy Rosary Catholic Church with celebrant Paul van de Crommert officiating. Burial at Calvary Cemetery. There will be time to visit with the family on Monday from 9:30 a.m. until the time of service and immediately following the service. Memorials are preferred to an organization of the donor’s choice. Arrangements by Mankato Mortuary.
Dolores Inez was born February 25, 1929 in Sherburn, Minnesota to Thomas and Mabel Rose (Kunst) Murphy. Dolores graduated from Minnesota Lake High School. On October 20, 1949, she was united in marriage to James Wingert at Ss. Peter and Paul Catholic Church. They made their home and raised their family in the rural Good Thunder area. Donnie later moved to North Mankato.
Donnie is survived by six children, Daniel Wingert and wife, Trish of North Mankato, Pamela Hallberg and husband Robert of North Mankato, Thomas Wingert and wife, Bev of Madison Lake, Michael Wingert of Nashville, Tennessee, John Wingert of North Mankato, Tami Zimmerman and husband Dean of East Brunswick, New Jersey; eight grandchildren, Stephani Hallberg, Brianna Newman, Robert Wingert, Daniel Wingert, Dylan Zimmerman, Dominic Zimmerman, Analise Zimmerman, and Anne Marie Wingert; five great-grandchildren, Jacen, Zachary and Allison Hallberg, BriElla and Cohen Newman; brother, Thomas Murphy of Byron; brother-in-law, Victorin Ruhland of St. Paul; many nieces and nephews.
Donnie was preceded in death by her husband, James Wingert; daughter, Dawn Wingert; grandson, Matthew Hallberg; nine sisters, Veronica Sonnek, Marjorie Staloch, Lois Raaen, Ella Mae Embertson, Mary Goebel, Rita Garrey, Eileen Roozen, Bernadette Wilke, and Jeanne Ruhland; and a brother, James Murphy.
