Michael "Mike" Schneider

Michael “Mike” Schneider, age 73, of North Mankato, died on Thursday, December 28, 2017 at his home. 

Memorial service will be held on Thursday, January 4, 2018 at 11:00 a.m. at Northview-North Mankato Mortuary.  Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service at Northview.  Burial will be at St. John the Baptist Catholic Cemetery in Burnsville at a later date.

Mike was born on August 29, 1944 to Raymond and Kathryn (Cuddy) Schneider in Mankato. 
After graduating from Loyola High School in 1962, Mike entered the United States Air Force serving one year in Vietnam.  Upon marrying his first wife, Lila Guthmiller they moved to Burnsville where they raised their three children.  Mike worked for NSP/Exel Energy in Minneapolis, retiring in 2002.  Mike was united in marriage to Adrian Person on July 4, 2004.  Mike and Adrian loved traveling and visited many parts of the world.  Mike loved family vacations, taking photos of grandchildren, and playing Santa Claus to many of the area nursing homes each December. 

Mike was a life member of Burnsville American Legion Post #1700, Lakeville VFW Post #210, Tan Son Nhut Association, and Eagle Scouts. 

Mike is survived by his wife, Adrian Person of North Mankato; daughter, Lisa Schneider Young (Dave Young) of Rosemount; sisters, Rosemary (Warren) Stowell of Inver Grove Heights and Joan Judge of Cincinnati, OH; step-sons, Christopher (Sarah) Person, Patrick Person and step-daughter, Katie Person, all of North Mankato; grandchildren, Rachel, Grant, and Ashley Cridlebaugh of Rosemount and Grace Titus of Lakeville; step-grandchildren, Carter Person, Maria Person, Alec Volkenant, Taylor Person, and Jonathon Person.  He was preceded in death by his parents; first wife, Lila; and sons, Daniel and Robert.
