Rosemary Alice Mees, age 83, of Mankato, died Wednesday, December 13, 2017, at her home.
Mass of Christian Burial will be 11:00 a.m., Tuesday, December 19, 2017, at SS. Peter & Paul Catholic Church in Mankato. Visitation will be 4-7 p.m. on Monday at Mankato Mortuary, and continues one hour prior to the mass at the church on Tuesday. Interment will be in Woodland Hills Memorial Park in Mankato.
Rosemary was born August 19, 1934, in New Ulm. She was the daughter of John and Anna (Schaefer) Schugel. Rosemary was a graduate of New Ulm Cathedral High School. She was united in marriage to Harold Mees on July 7, 1956, in New Ulm. Rosemary was a homemaker for her family. She was a member of SS. Peter and Paul Catholic Church and the Mankato Eagles Club. Rosemary enjoyed vacationing in Arizona, camping, playing Bingo, and especially spending time with her family.
Rosemary is survived by her four children, Randy Mees of Brooklyn, WI, Bob Mees of Mankato, Renae (Tom) Moore of Coon Rapids, and Rick Mees of Eagle Lake; seven grandchildren, Isaak Mees, Leah (Jason) Lewis, Karie Mees, Lisa Mees, Kristin (Jake) Frank, Chad (Lexi) Moore, and Dylan Mees; seven great-grandchildren and one due in June; four sisters, Marie, Joyce, Carol, and Gloria; one brother, Ohmar; also many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Harold in 1981; daughter-in-law, Theresa in 2016; two sisters, Virginia and Dorothy; and one brother, Melvin.
