Patricia Ann Preston Keller, age 84, of Mankato, died Monday, December 11, 2017, at Pathstone Living in Mankato.
Memorial Service will be 11:00 a.m., Friday, December 15, 2017, at St. John’s Lutheran Church in St. Clair, with Pastor Matthew Grunewald officiating. Visitation will be 4-7 p.m. on Thursday, and continues one hour prior to the service, all at St. John’s Lutheran Church. Memorials are preferred to St. John’s Lutheran Church or the donor’s choice. Mankato Mortuary handled the arrangements.
Patricia was born August 12, 1933, in Breckenridge. She was the daughter of John and Pearl (Brubaken) Rahbek. Patricia was baptized on June 28, 1934, at the English Lutheran Church in Mora and confirmed in her faith on July 13, 1947, at St. John’s Lutheran Church in Mapleton. She was a 1951 graduate of Mapleton High School and attended Mankato Commercial College.
Patricia was united in marriage to Marvin Preston on February 23, 1952. He passed away on February 6, 1988. Patricia later married James Keller on February 16, 1991. James died on October 2, 2000. Patricia was a homemaker for her family, and later was employed as a receptionist at the YMCA for ten years. She was a longtime member of St. John’s Lutheran Church in St. Clair, where she was active with the Ladies Aid. She enjoyed playing Bridge, scrapbooking, following the MN Vikings and Twins, and especially spending time with her family.
Patricia is survived by her children, Gary (significant other, Julie Grzbowski) Preston of Forest Lake, Joel (Phyllis) Preston of St. Clair, Jim (Karen) Preston of Rochester, John (significant other, Karen Morris) of rural Janesville, and Pete (Jobie) Preston of rural Janesville; seven grandchildren, Jarred Preston, Dan (Brittany) Preston, Jacob Preston, Travis Preston, Andrea (Alex) Moen, Amanda (significant other, Ray Rivera-Parker) Preston, and Alicia (fiancé, Matt Eichler) Preston; four great-grandchildren, Ethan, Carson, Jonah, Jace, and one on the way; three stepchildren and ten step-grandchildren; sister-in-law, Doris Preston of Mankato; also nieces, nephews, other family and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husbands, Marvin and James; and a sister, Anita Wynnemer.
Patricia's family would like to thank Mayo Clinic Hospice and Pathstone Living for taking such wonderful care of her.
