Norma Edna (Schweim) Lueck joined her Lord and Savior on December 4, 2017.

Visitation will be held from 4-7pm, Wednesday, December 6, 2017 at Mankato Mortuary. Funeral service will be held at 10:30am, Thursday, December 7, 2017 at Immanuel Lutheran Church in Mankato with visitation one hour prior. Burial will follow at Pilgrims Rest Cemetery. She was born to Edna and Arthur Schweim on December 11, 1933 in Mankato, Minnesota. She graduated high school from Bethany Lutheran College. She was united in marriage to Luverne Lueck on October 24, 1953 at Immanuel Lutheran Church in Mankato. They raised their four children in Mankato and ensured that each were given a Christian education. She was a devoted lifetime member of Immanuel Lutheran Church.

Norma and Luverne were travelers at heart and spent many weekends and vacations traveling across the United States. They especially loved visiting Florida and enjoyed winters in the state of Texas.

Norma was an active volunteer at Immanuel Lutheran School and church. As part of the Home Extension group, she made many friends and learned many skills like candy making. She made her house the place where everyone was welcome and there was always coffee, snacks, or a meal to share. In the last few years, she enjoyed daily morning coffee with her sisters as well as many activities with the residents at Ornaz Plaza.

Norma is survived by three children, James (Pat) Lueck, Carol (Jim) Schank, and Sherry Shultz; seven grandchildren, Ross (Nikki) Hunter, Jon (Erica) Hunter, Tony (Ashley) Lueck, Robert (Nicole) Lueck, Andrew Prindle, Kimberly (Neal) O’Connell, Katie (fiancé Stan Kozov) Schultz; 7 soon-to-be 8 great-grandchildren, Drake, Avery, Garrett, Morgan, Addison, Austin, Karsyn; son-in-law, Duane Gjesvold; sisters, Ann Johnson and Carol Brenner; brother, Paul Schweim; in-laws, Helen (Chester) Hrdlicka, Leroy (Charmaine) Lueck, Alaine (Bob Wolf) Hoffman, Richard (Audrey) Lueck, David Lueck, Jerry (Ann) Lueck.

She was preceded in death by her loving husband Luverne; by her parents, Edna and Arthur Schweim; daughter, Leone Gjesvold; granddaughter, Katherine Prindle; and brothers-in-law, Everett Rosenbrook, Norman Hoffman, Dale Brenner, and Harold Johnson.
