Frank Anthony Reichel, 73 of North Mankato, passed away November 21, 2017 at Mayo Clinic Health System in Mankato.
Mass of Christian Burial is 11:00 a.m., Wednesday, November 29, 2017 at Holy Rosary Catholic Church in North Mankato. Visitation will be from 4-7 p.m., Tuesday, November 28, 2017 at Northview-North Mankato Mortuary, 2060 Commerce Dr., North Mankato and one hour prior to the service at the church. Burial with military honors will be at Calvary Cemetery in Mankato. The family prefers memorials be given to Holy Rosary Catholic Church.
Frank was born November 12, 1944 to Stacy and Charlotte (Swanson) Reichel in Mankato. He graduated from Mankato High School in 1962. Frank served in the US National Guard from 1962 to 1970. In 1981, he married Alane Reintjes at All Saints Catholic Church in Madison Lake. Frank worked at Clements Auto for several years prior to opening Reichel’s Riverbend Auto, which he owned and operated from 1983 to 2015.
In his free time, Frank enjoyed hunting, fishing, being outdoors, and especially spending time with his family and friends. Frank will be remembered for his upbeat attitude, kind personality, socializing with friends and family, and his great sense of humor.
Frank is survived by his wife, Alane of 36 years; children, Ken (Kathy Beckius) Reichel, Jason (Anna) Reichel, and Amber Reichel; grandchildren, Kirsten (Adam) Elliott, Kyle, Wyatt, Grant, and Charlotte; great-granddaughter, Madden; brothers, Rome (Monica) and Roger (Deb); sister-in-law, Bev; and many family and friends.
He is preceded in death by his parents; grandson, Kole; brother, Richard; nephew, Shawn; and his beloved dog Sadie.
