Ronald David Williams, age 75, of Lake Crystal died, Monday, October 23, 2017 at his home.

A Graveside Service will be held at 2:00 p.m., Saturday, October 28, 2017 at the Lake Crystal Cemetery. Visitation will continue from 2:30 – 5 p.m., at the Lake Crystal Fire Hall, 181 S. Hunt. Lake Crystal Mortuary is in charge of arrangements. In lieu of flowers, memorials are preferred.

Ronald was born May 21, 1942 to Donald J. and Ruth A. (Barnett) Williams in Mankato. He graduated from Lake Crystal High School in 1960. He was united in marriage to Donna K. Larson on November 3, 1962 at the First Methodist Church, Lake Crystal. Ron worked at James Hardware for several years. Ron worked at and later owned and operated the family business, Williams Garage and Wrecker Service. Community was very important to Ron and he was active with the city council, the utilities commission as a chairman, civil defense director, and former president of the relief Association. He was a member of the Lake Crystal Fire Department from 1964-2009, where he was former fire chief, engineer, and served many other capacities. Ron enjoyed woodworking, dogs, hunting and fishing, and spending time with and taking care of family.

Ron is survived by his two sons, Donald Williams of Lake Crystal and David Williams of Elk River; five grandchildren, April Williams, Brittany (Jeremy) Goosen, Bethany Williams, Brendan and Christian Williams; five great-grandchildren, Will, Carson, Blake Goosen, Ian Williams, and Bentley Delude; sister, Judie (Stan) Edwards of rural Mankato; three sisters-in-law, Gloria Williams of Lake Crystal, Phyllis (Paul) Grogan of Lakeville, Jayne (Ted Jarvis) Pritchard of Lake Crystal; brother-in-law, John (Lois) Larson of Lake Crystal; nieces, nephews, and extended family.

Ron was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Donna in 2013; brother, Doug Williams; nephews, Jeff Edwards and Mark Williams.
