LaDonna Jean Boettcher

On October 21, 2017 in Lake Havasu, AZ., our Lord and Savior called LaDonna to her eternal home. 

 

Funeral service will be held Tuesday, October 31 at 11:00 a.m. at Immanuel Lutheran Church.  Visitation will be Monday from 4:00-6:00 p.m. at Mankato Mortuary and will continue one hour prior to the service at the church.  Interment will be at Pilgrims Rest Cemetery.  Memorial contributions can be made to Immanuel Lutheran Church, School or Choir.

 

LaDonna was born June 26, 1929 to Herman and Esther Boettcher in Janesville, Minnesota and baptized July 21st, 1929 at Trinity Lutheran Church. She was confirmed in May of 1944 at Immanuel Lutheran Church, Mankato where she remained a life-long member.  Throughout her life she remained very involved in church activities including choir and Ladies Guild.  After a 32 year career with the Social Security Administration she joined NARFE and volunteered at the Immanuel Lutheran School.  LaDonna loved music and was a self-taught piano player, enjoyed dancing and singing, playing cards, golfing, and spending time with her friends and her family. 

 

LaDonna is survived by her daughter, Pam and son-in-law Dan Barry of Lake Havasu, AZ.; sister, Lois Manthe of Mankato; eight nieces and nephews; and several cousins.  She was preceded in death by her parents and step-mother, Rose Runge-Boettcher.
