Charles H. Ulman, Jr.

Charles H. Ulman, Jr., age 90, of North Mankato, died on Tuesday, October 17, 2017 at Brookdale Assisted Living. 

 

Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Monday, October 23 at 11:00 a.m. at Holy Rosary Catholic Church.  Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service at the church.  Private family burial will be in Calvary Cemetery. Mankato Mortuary is in charge of arrangements.

 

Charles was born on September 8, 1927 in Mankato to Charles and Hildur (Swan) Ulman.  He graduated from Loyola High School in 1945.  Charles served in the United States Navy from 1945-1948.  On November 11, 1950, Charles was united in marriage to Margery Barklow.  He owned and operated Ulman Electric for many years.  Charles was a former Commander of American Legion Post #11 and a member of the memorial honor guard. He was former President of the Eagle’s Club.  He enjoyed spending time at the lake and fishing. 

 

Charles is survived by son, Michael Ulman of North Mankato; daughter, Linda Ulman of Fairmont; three grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.  He was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Margery; daughter, Gail Morrell; and two brothers, Eugene and Dean.
