Dennis Weis

Dennis (Denny) Weis, 66, of Mankato, entered the Lord’s garden on Thursday, September 14 at St. Mary’s Hospital in Rochester, MN with his wife Julie at his side.

The visitation will be 4:00 – 7:00 p.m. on Thursday, September 21 at Northview ~ North Mankato Mortuary in North Mankato and a celebration of his life will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, September 22 at Christ the King Lutheran Church in Mankato.

Denny was born in Olivia, MN to Donald and June (Lund) Weis and graduated from St. Mary’s High School in 1969. He was a creative, talented, and hard-working man, and spent his life tackling remodeling projects both big and small. Denny loved gardening in his beautiful yard, golfing with good friends, feeding the birds, and playing with his grandchildren.

He is remembered with love by his wife of 36 years Julie (Christensen), their daughter Lindsey (Nathan) Owens and their children Eli and Vivian, daughter Brooke (Justin) Spain from his first marriage and their children Jacob and Brady, siblings Ron (Judy) Weis, Bob (Melly) Weis, Chuck (Cam) Weis, Jinny (Larry) Louwagie, LeAnn (Wes Boomgaarden) Weis, Char (Randy) Zens and Joe (Marilyn) Weis. He is also survived by his loving mother-in-law, nieces, nephews, and a host of life-long friends.

Denny is preceded in death by his parents.
