Leona Marie Gadacz

Leona Marie Gadacz, 86 of Mankato, died Saturday, September 2, 2017 at Brookdale Senior Living Solutions in Mankato.

Funeral service will be held 11:00 a.m., Friday, September 8, 2017 at Mankato Mortuary, 1001 N Riverfront Dr., in Mankato with visitation one hour prior to the service. Burial will be at Pilgrims Rest Cemetery.

Leona was born May 8, 1931 to Charles and Lydia (Heinemann) Klinkner in Hewitt, Minnesota. She graduated from Hewitt High School in 1949.  For the last two years, Leona resided in Mankato and was a member of Immanuel Lutheran Church in Mankato. In her free time, she enjoyed gardening, puzzles, dancing, and traveling.

Leona is survived by her children, Diane Neumann of Lake Crystal and Dennis (Andrea) Neumann of Champlin; grandchildren, Jacob (Jennifer) and Rebecca; great-granddaughter, Zoe; and nieces and nephews.  She is preceded in death by her parents; and brother, Wilbur.

The family sincerely thanks the staff of both Old Main Village and Brookdale for the care she received while in Mankato.
