Dennis Nolan

Dennis “Denny” Nolan, 63 of Mankato, passed away Saturday, September 2, 2017 at his home in Mankato.

Funeral service will be held 11:00 a.m., Wednesday, September 6, 2017 at Northview ~ North Mankato Mortuary, 2060 Commerce Drive, North Mankato. Visitation will be held from 4-8pm, Tuesday, September 5, 2017 at Northview and also one hour prior to the service. Private burial will be at Woodland Hills Memorial Park. The family prefers memorials be given to a charity of the donor’s choice.

Denny was born February 1, 1954 to Jim and Bonnie (Lansing) Nolan in Fairmont, MN. He graduated from Welcome High School in 1972. He married Dee Winkel in 1974. Together they raised two daughters, Katie and Kari. Denny worked for the Hiniker Company from 1972 until 2001 when he owned and operated his own business, Nolan Carpentry Service. Denny was a car enthusiast and loved watching NASCAR and collecting cars. Denny loved fishing and always looked forward to his annual fishing trip to Canada. He especially enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren, who had a special place in his heart. Denny was a generous, kind, and caring man who would help anybody.

Denny is survived by his wife, Dee, of 42 years; children, Katie (Jake Gasper) Nolan of Rochester and Kari Nolan of Minneapolis; grandchildren, Nolan Sutter, Lilly Sutter, James Gasper, and Jada Medcalf; nieces, Dena (John) Hurla and Christa (David) Gustafson; and many other family and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents; and sister, Sheri Jones.
