Phyllis Gale Goettl

Phyllis Gale Goettl, age 70, died on August 23, 2017 with her husband and son by her side in her home in Mankato, Minnesota after a 25 year battle with Multiple Sclerosis.

Mass of Christian Burial will be Friday, August 25 at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church in Mankato at 10:30 a.m. with the visitation beginning at 9:00 a.m. at church. Burial will take place after the service at Calvary Cemetery in Mankato. Monetary donations will be used for M.S. research.

Phyllis was born on January 17, 1947 to Fred and Lorraine (Allen) Brandt in Mankato. She and Richard Goettl were united in marriage on May 25, 1979 at SS. Peter and Paul Catholic Church in Mankato. Phyllis enjoyed crossword and jigsaw puzzles, reading, sewing, and baking.

Phyllis is survived by her husband, Richard; her son, Jason; siblings, Fred Brandt Jr., Diane Brandt, Darlene Brandt, Steve Brandt, and David Brandt; brother and sister in-laws, Cletus and Elaine Goettl, Adeline Sieberg, Roger Goettl, Mary Lou and Marlyn Denn, and Louis and Donna Goettl; and many nieces and nephews.

She is preceded in death by her parents; sister, Debbie DevLaeminck; brother, Chris Brandt; mother and father in-law, Louis and Marie Goettl; and brother and sister in-laws, Julian and Mary Goettl, Bernie and Delores Goettl, Wilfred and LaVonne Goettl, Lorraine and Jerry Frederick, Elaine and Francis Sweiger, Curtis Sieberg, Sandra Goettl, and Melvin DevLameminck.
