Charlotte “Char” M. Hiniker, age 75, of Mankato, died on Tuesday, August 22, 2017 at Hillcrest Health Care Center.
Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Monday, August 28 at 11:00 a.m. at SS Peter and Paul Catholic Church with visitation one hour prior at the church. Burial will be at Calvary Cemetery. Mankato Mortuary is in charge of arrangements.
Charlotte was born on February 18, 1942 in Mankato to Arthur and Anna (Goettl) Hiniker. She graduated from Good Counsel Academy in 1959. Char worked for Kresge Company for many years. In her younger years, she was very involved in 4-H and loved attending fairs. She enjoyed listening to KTOE radio and country music. Char wrote poetry, loved hats, and scrapbooking. Char loved spending time with her family, especially her nieces and nephews.
Char is survived by three sisters, Rose (Don) Landsteiner of Mapleton, Betty (Jim) Sohler of Eagle Lake, and Dolores “Dee” (Dean) Pietsch of Mankato; many nieces and nephews; aunt, Mary Ann (Arlo) Kelly of Madelia; and many, many cousins. She was preceded in death by her parents; stepmother, Grace; and nephew, Bradley.
The family would like to thank the staff at Hillcrest Health Care Center for the wonderful care they provided to Char.
