Craig Dean Sorell, 54 of Mankato, died Wednesday, August 16th, 2017 at ISJ Hospital surrounded by his loved ones after a short battle with cancer.
A memorial service will be held at Mankato Mortuary on Friday, August 25th at 2pm. Visitation will be an hour prior to the service.
Craig was born on February 16th, 1963 to Herbert & Carroll (Soltau) Sorell in Mankato. He attended Lake Crystal High School where he graduated in 1982, went on to technical college in North Mankato for Autobody work. Craig enjoyed spending time with his family and friends, listening to music and he also enjoyed motorcycle hillclimbing, four wheelers and cars.

Craig is survived by his Father Herb Sorell of Apple Valley, two daughters Amanda Hewitt (Chad Hewitt) of North Mankato, Sara Hoffmann of New UIm, sisters Terry Sorell, Megan Driscoll (Phil Driscoll), Sara Svenby (Joel Svenby, Mike Sorell (Lisa Sorell), Amber Lahs (David Jennings), special friend Kathy Urbatsch of Mankato, 2 aunts, 1 uncle, 7 neices and nephews, and many cousins. Craig was preceded in death by his mother Carroll Lahs, Grandparents Donald & Lynn Soltau and Grandparents Norris & Pat Christian along with a nephew, Garrett Soltau.
