Dorothy Violet Paulson, age 89, of Mankato died, Wednesday, August 9, 2017 at Mayo Clinic Health System – Mankato, MN from injuries sustained in a motor vehicle accident and is now in the arms of her heavenly Father.

Funeral Service 11:00 a.m., Saturday, August 12, 2017 at Immanuel Lutheran Church, Mankato. Visitation will be one hour before service at the church. Interment will be in Minneopa Cemetery, rural Mankato. Memorials may be given to Immanuel Lutheran Church, American Heart Association, or donor’s choice. Mankato Mortuary is handling arrangements.

Dorothy was born April 1, 1928 to William Edward and Emma Pauline (Schaub) Seppman. She attended Mankato High School. Dorothy met Armand Paulson at the Kato Ballroom and they were later married on October 9, 1954 at Immanuel Lutheran Church. Dorothy was employed with Kresge Dime Store and Automatic Electric and after marriage she became a homemaker for her family. She later returned to work at Hillcrest Nursing Home and the Mankato Free Press. Dorothy was a lifelong member of Immanuel Lutheran Church where she was baptized and confirmed. She loved crafting, craft shows, art, vegetable and flower gardening, country music, anything the color Pink, shopping, and spending time with her family.

Dorothy is survived by her husband of 63 years, Armand; four children, John (Rhonda) Paulson, Larry Paulson, Pamela Paulson, and Sherry Paulson all of Mankato; two grandchildren, Jessica (Tim) Anderson and their children, Jaden, Tristan, Riley, Daisy, and Liam; April Paulson (fiancé, Jeremy Jordan); sister, Delores Bentdahl of Bloomington; nieces, nephews, including special nieces, Debra Koch and Deanna Mohr; lifelong friend, Kathy Francis; brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law; her dogs, Sammy and Sophie; and extended family.

Dorothy was preceded in death by her parents; brother, Florian (Dorothy) Seppman; sister, Darlene Matteson; brother-in-law, Orlando Bentdahl. Dorothy will be greatly missed but our memories live on. She now walks with Christ.
