Eric Howk

Eric Joseph Howk, 32 of Mankato, died Friday, August 4, 2017 at Mayo Clinic Hospital – St. Mary’s Campus in Rochester.

A visitation for Eric will be held from 4-7 p.m., Friday, August 11, 2017 at Mankato Mortuary, 1001 North Riverfront Drive, in Mankato.  The family prefers memorials be given in his memory to the Autism Society of Minnesota, 2380 Wycliff St. #102 St. Paul, MN 55114.

Eric was born July 3, 1985 in Mankato. He graduated from high school in 2004 in Surprise, Arizona. Over the past several years, Eric worked and lived in Mankato. He enjoyed gaming online with friends and was known to have a quirky sense of humor. Most of all, Eric was passionate about other people with disabilities and special needs, especially educating others about people living with autism.

Eric is survived by his parents, Steve and Linda (Anderson) Howk of Springfield, Illinois; sister, Jamie (David) Engel; brother, Brian (Rhonda) Howk; and many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and cousins. He is preceded in death by his grandparents; brother, Christopher; an uncle; and a cousin.
