Arladene Faye Sohre, age 89 of Good Thunder, died peacefully Saturday August 5, 2017 at the Mapleton Community Home.

Funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m., Tuesday, August 8, 2017 at St. John Lutheran Church in Good Thunder. Burial in St. John Lutheran Cemetery in Good Thunder. Visitation will be held one hour before the service at the church on Tuesday. Memorials may be given to St. John Lutheran Cemetery Association. Mankato Mortuary in charge of arrangements.

Arladene Faye Sohre was born March 19, 1928 to Harvey and Rose (Burmeister) Kleinbeck in Granada, MN. She attended Mapleton Schools. Arla was united in marriage to LeRoy Sohre on September 27, 1944 in Mapleton, MN. She was a farm wife and homemaker for her family. She also worked at Sohre General Store, cook at St. John Lutheran School, and 11 years as a demo lady for grocery stores in Mankato and Fairmont.

She was a member of St. John Lutheran Church and past president of the Ladies Aid. She was a charter member of St. John Mission Quilt Group and belonged to the Good Thunder American Legion Auxiliary. Arla enjoyed cooking, quilting, crocheting, rag rugs and fishing.

Arla is survived by her husband, Leroy; four children, Sandra (Howard) Kantack of Bemidji, MN, Loren (Diane) Sohre, Dean (Laureen) Sohre and Lynn Sohre all of Good Thunder; six grandchildren, Ken (Shannon) Kantack, Kari (Ekren) Kantack Miller, Mike (Nancy) Sohre, Matt (Kelly) Sohre, Melissa (Colby) Winkler and Dan (Teresa) Sohre; sister-in-law, Betty Kleinbeck of Albert Lea; many nieces and nephews.

Preceded in death by parents, infant son, Dale, and brother Arlan.
