Sharon Ann Reedstrom, 81 of North Mankato, died peacefully Friday, July 21, 2017 at Mayo Clinic Health Systems in Mankato following an extended battle with heart and kidney disease.

A celebration of Sharon’s life will be held 11a.m., Thursday, July 27, 2017 at Grace Lutheran Church in Mankato. Visitation is from 4-7 p.m., Wednesday, July 26, 2017 at Northview-North Mankato Mortuary, 2060 Commerce Drive, North Mankato and one hour prior to the service at the church. Sharon will be laid to rest at Fort Snelling National Cemetery at a later date.  In lieu of flowers, memorials are preferred to the donor’s choice.

Sharon was born June 30, 1936 in Royal, Iowa to Floyd and Jesse Kruse.  She graduated from Moneta High School in 1954.  Sharon was united in marriage to Lowell Reedstrom on November 3, 1957 in Mankato. 

Sharon was first and foremost a wonderful wife and mother and enjoyed traveling and entertaining friends and family.  She especially loved her summers at the cabin on Big Pine Lake, hosting the annual Tonka Party over the 4th of July, meat raffles, and spending winters in California with Pam. Sharon was an avid bridge player and loved to get together with her bridge “girls.”  Sharon cherished the many friends she and Lowell made over their years of camping and summers at the lake.

Sharon is survived by her husband, Lowell of 59 years;  daughter, Pamela Reedstrom of Corona, CA; sons, Mark (Carol) of North Mankato and Brad of Bigfork, MT; step-grandson, Ryan of Englewood, CO; brothers, Jim (Barb) Kruse of Greeley, CO and Tom (Monica) Kruse of Carroll, IA; sisters-in-law, Shirley Winter, Lorrie (Sam) Riffle, and Joan (Chet) Yabitsu; brothers-in-law, Dale Reedstrom and Bob (Ginny) Reedstrom; and many nieces, nephews, and lifelong friends.  She was preceded in death by her parents; sisters-in-law, Charm and Jan Reedstrom; and brothers-in-law, Marty Winter and Marlin Reedstrom.
