Darlene Treanor

Darlene “Dar” Ann Treanor, 75 of Mankato died Friday, July 21, 2017 at Mayo Clinic Health Systems in Mankato.

Mass of Christian Burial will be held 11:00 a.m., Tuesday, August 1, 2017 at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Marysburg. Visitation will be from 5-7 p.m., Monday, July 31, 2017 at Mankato Mortuary, 1001 N Riverfront Dr., in Mankato and one hour prior to the service at the church. Burial will be at Calvary Cemetery in Mankato.

Darlene was born September 5, 1941 to Benjamin and Orpha (Ruzek) Misgen in Albert Lea. She grew up in Owatonna and graduated from Owatonna High School in 1959. On October 21, 1961, she married Larry Treanor. Together they settled in Mankato and raised two children, Terry and Lisa.  She was a member of Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Marysburg. In her free time, Darlene enjoyed spending time at the family cabin on Lake Ballantyne, gardening, caring for her many flowers, and especially spending time with her family and grandchildren.

Darlene is survived by her husband, Larry of 55 years; children, Terry Treanor and Lisa (Frank) Volk; grandchildren, Cole, Logan, Emma, Ashley, and Kristina; sister, Barbara (Robert) Lewis; nieces, Jill (Dave) Olson and Jodi (Brad) Staska; and many cousins and friends.

She is preceded in death by her parents; and parents-in-law, Erwin and Eileen Treanor.
