Judith Leone Russell

Judith Leone Russell of Cleveland, MN died peacefully in her home, surrounded by her family on June 29, 2017 at the age of 75. Judy will be deeply missed by family, friends, and all who had the pleasure of knowing her.

Judy is survived by her children, son, Troy Russell and companion Sarah Kirby of Cleveland, MN and daughter, Tracy Lohse and husband Todd Lohse of Las Vegas, NV; her sister, Shirlee Jelle of Albert Lea, MN; her brother, John Kern (Kathy) of Madison Lake, MN; her brother-in-law, David Lennon; her grandchildren, Jake Russell, Maija Russell, and Tyler Lohse; and many nieces and nephews and their families.  She is preceded in death by her parents, Edward and Katherine Kern; her sister, Karen Lennon; and her brother-in-law, Myron Jelle.

Judy will be most remembered for her amazing spirit and life accomplishments as a devoted mother and founder of JR Insurance Agency in Gaylord, MN where she dedicated years of hard work to grow a successful business.  Judy most enjoyed spending time at her home on the lake, gardening, bird watching, and living it up with family, friends, and neighbors.

In honor of Judy’s wishes there will be no funeral services. A Celebration of Life will be held for her immediate friends and family. Her wish was for people to gather, share a memory and give her one final toast.
