Irene Grace Uhde, age 93, of Lake Crystal, Minnesota died June 25, 2017, at Mankato Hospital in Mankato, Minnesota.
A Celebration of Life service will be held on Friday, June 30, 2017, at Mankato Mortuary on Riverfront Drive at 6 p.m. with a two hour visitation prior to the service, beginning at 4 p.m.
Irene was born December 5, 1923 to Ellis and Luella (Judson) Lane in St. Paul, Minnesota. She graduated from Mankato High School in 1942. Irene married Kenneth Forsberg in 1947 who passed away shortly after they were married. Irene later married Harvey Uhde in 1952. She worked at Johnson Fishing for 26 years; she always had fishing reels to give to her family. Irene enjoyed bowling, her dogs, flowers- especially red roses, and spending time with her family.
Irene is survived by her children, Mike (Ellen) Uhde of New Ulm, Linda Uhde of North Mankato, Carol (Greg) Russ of Lake Crystal, and Sharon (Darwin) Westberg of Lake Crystal; daughter-in-law, Susan Uhde of Madelia; step-children, Jim (Laurie) Thompson of North Mankato, David Uhde of St. James, and Robin (Brad) Orvis of St. James; 10 grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren; and 5 great-great-grandchildren. Irene was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Kenneth Forsberg; husband, Harvey Uhde; son, Robert Uhde; infant siblings, Scott and Emma Lane; and great-granddaughter, Madison King.
