Richard Hasher

Richard "Dick" Hasher, 72 of Amboy, passed away peacefully Friday, June 23, 2017 at Oaklawn Healthcare Center in Mankato.

Funeral service will be 11:00 a.m., Tuesday, June 27, 2017 at Olson-Tichenor Funeral Home in Mapleton. Visitation will be from 4-7 p.m., Monday, June 26, 2017 and one hour prior to the service at Olson-Tichenor Funeral Home in Mapleton. Burial will be at Oak Grove Cemetery in Minnesota Lake.

Dick was born on May 28, 1945 to Harold and Dorothy (Kubu) Hasher. Dick attended Mapleton Public School and went on to serve in the Navy in 1962. He fought in the Vietnam War and was honorably discharged in 1968. Dick was united in marriage to Patricia Phillips on November 20, 1972. Dick retired from Honeymead (CHS) in 2007 after 36 years. Dick enjoyed socializing with friends and family, especially old Navy buddies from the Mindsweeper and AO-24 Platte, hunting, being outdoors, 4-wheeling, playing bingo, and spending time with his cat “Boots”.

Survivors include his wife of 44 years, Patricia; children, Brian (Adriana) of Lecce, Italy, Trudy (Jerry) Slusser of Hazel Green, AL, and Tim & Kim Gores of Garden City, MN; brother, Dave (Mari) Hasher; grandchildren, Ashley and Isaac Hasher, Alicia Keith, and Chelsea (James) Davis; and two great-grandchildren on the way.

Dick is preceded in death by his parents; and brothers, James and Donald.
