Harriet C. (Pemble) Hager, age 74, was lifted by God and his heavenly Angels into eternal paradise on Tuesday, May 23, 2017.
Services will be Tuesday, May 30, 2017 at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church in Mankato at 10:30. Visitation will be Monday, May 29, 2017 from 3 p.m. to 7 p.m. at Mankato Mortuary; 1001 N. Riverfront Drive in Mankato.
Harriet was born October 13, 1942 to Harry and Catherine (Weber) Pemble, she grew up in the rural St. Clair, Waterville and Elysian areas. She graduated from Waterville in 1960.
Harriet married Louis Hager on April 28, 1962 at Marysburg Catholic Church; they lived in Owatonna and Eagle Lake until 1968 when they moved to Mankato and resided ever since.
Harriet worked at Midtex for several years, and retired from EI Microcircuits after 30 years of employment. She was very proud to be one of their first employees, when the company started in 1984.
In her younger years Harriet enjoyed spending time with her family camping, fishing, snowmobiling, deer hunting, and just gathering together for fun. Harriet’s grandchildren meant the world to her, she always knew how to make a weekend in a motel extra special. She even made that happen in her retirement years during her trips to local casinos, Laughlin, NV, Texas, and her special trip to Tulsa, where she got to witness the marriage of Aaron and Kristin.
Harriet is survived by two daughters and their husbands, Dy and Rick Bode of Apple Valley; Barb and Richard Ybarra of Mankato. Three grandchildren, Aaron (Kristin) Bode of Tulsa, OK; Shannan Dewar of Mankato; KC Dewar of Ballston Spa, NY; and one great-granddaughter coming in August. Three sisters, Mary Jo (Bill) Nikoley of Elysian; Vick Johnson of Kasota; Karen (Tom) Gohla of Elysian. Three brothers, Harold (Ginger) Pemble of Watertown, WI; Mark Pemble of Silver Bay; Jim (Sandy) Pemble of Waterville. Sisters and Brothers-in-law, Marge and Al Wenker of Albany; Ardie Pemble of St. Clair; Loretta Schwartz of Waterville; John and Shirley Hager of Medford, Donna and Truman Dokken of Blue Eye, MO; Betty Hager of Owatonna; Denny and Becky Hager of Andover; Roseanne and Wayne Barbknecht of Waseca; Loretta and Terry Raticjeck of Circle Pines; Gene and Tena Hager of Owatonna; Susie and Donnie Redman of Medford; Sandy Sutlief of Northfield; Deb Halblieb of Medford. Several cousins, her seven godchildren and many more nieces and nephews.
Harriet is preceded in death by her dad in 1974; mom in 1989; Louis in 2000; sister, Charolette Blaschko in 2011; brothers, Dave in 1987; Phil in 2010; Larry in 2010; several brothers-in-law and one sister-in-law.
