Richard “Dick” C. Lundin, 75, of Lake Washington, died Wednesday, May 3, 2017, at his home.

Funeral Service 1:00 p.m., Monday, May 8, 2017, at Bethlehem Lutheran Church, Mankato.  Visitation 1-5 p.m., Sunday at Northview – North Mankato Mortuary, 2060 Commerce Drive, North Mankato and one hour before service on Monday.  Family interment will be in Mt. Olivet Cemetery, Mankato.

Memorials may be given to Twin Valley Council Boy Scouts of America, Mankato Salvation Army, Bethlehem Lutheran Church, Mayo Clinic - Andreas Cancer Center, Mayo Clinic Hospice - Mankato, or Christ the Lord Lutheran Church - Carefree, Arizona.

Richard was born May 31, 1941, to Hilding F. and Cora Mae (Olson) Lundin in Mankato.  He graduated from Mankato West High School in 1959 and later Mankato State University in 1963. Dick was united in marriage to Darlene M. Balle on August 19, 1962, at Christ Chapel, Gustavus Adolphus College, St. Peter. He was the former president of Lundin Construction and Southern Minnesota Construction.  Dick was a member of Boy Scouts of America where he was an Eagle Scout and received the Pro Deo Et Patria and Silver Beaver Awards.  He was a lifelong member of Bethlehem Lutheran Church, served on the Salvation Army board, and was a past president of the Mankato Rotary Club.  Dick enjoyed spending time with his children and grandchildren, old cars, fixing things, and helping anyone and everyone who needed it.

Dick is survived by his wife, Darlene; daughter, Kari Lundin (Sherri Johnson) of Cannon Falls, MN; son, Richard Lundin II (Jhna) of Minneapolis, MN and their children, Elsa and Anders; daughter, Lori Friend (Rob) of Eagan, MN and their children, Simon and Henry; sister, Dixie Ortley of Mankato, MN; many nieces and nephews.

Dick was preceded in death by his parents, Hilding and Cora Mae Lundin.
