Steven James Davis, age 68, of Mankato, died Wednesday, April 26, 2017, at Mayo Clinic Healthcare System in Mankato.

A Celebration of Life will be held 11:00 a.m., Friday, May 5, 2017, at Mankato Mortuary, with visitation one hour prior to the service.

Steve was born November 9, 1948, to James and Luverna (Rozikzke) Davis. Steve graduated from Amboy High School. He worked as a Mankato Police Officer and later as a small business owner. Steve enjoyed reading, listening to music, learning about American History and cheering on the Minnesota Vikings.  Steve will be remembered for his quick wit and sense of humor.  He will be dearly missed by all who knew him.

Steve is survived by his wife, Kathleen; daughters, Beth (Andy) Teigen, Kathy (Scott) Becker, and Lisa (John) Theis; sons, Duane (Crisy) Schmidt and Doug (Rhonda) Peterson; grandchildren, Matt, Jamie, Abby, Emma, Madison, Brayden, Sophia, Celia, Brandon, and Blake; great-grandchildren, Ariel, Skylar and Eiljah.

Steve was preceded in death by his parents.
