Phyllis Ann Buck, age 87 of Mankato died, Sunday April 23, 2017 at Water’s Edge in Mankato.

Memorial service 1:00 p.m., Friday at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church in Mankato. Burial Fort Snelling National Cemetery in Minneapolis. Visitation one hour before the service at the church on Friday. Mankato Mortuary in charge of arrangements.

Phyllis Ann Buck was born June 30, 1929 to John T. and Hattie J. (Cihak) Boyle in Sioux Falls, South Dakota. She married Gerald Buck on December 29, 1951 in Fairmont, Minnesota. She attended college in Omaha, NE where she received a degree as a laboratory Technologist. Phyllis worked at the old Immanuel Hospital and later at Immanuel St. Joseph’s Hospital until her retirement in 1991. She was an avid card player, loved camping with her family. She enjoyed crafts, reading, and spending time with her grandchildren.

Phyllis is survived by her children, Mike (Denise) Buck of Burnsville, MN, Mary (Tom) Rudie of Mankato, Pat (Kelly) Buck of Sioux Falls, SD, Shawn (Randy) Hermanson; one brother-in-law, Harold (Marcy) Buck; 13 grandchildren; 10 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, her parents; sisters-in-law, Marilyn Buck.
