Pam was born on August 30, 1943 to Gerald and Ella (Covey) Weerts in Orlando, Florida. Pam was raised in Mankato and graduated from Mankato High School in 1961. She married Gary Lundin August 1, 1965 and they celebrated their 51th wedding anniversary last year. Together they raised three daughters; Jennifer, Stephanie, and Jessica.
Pam was an avid quilter and enjoyed bridge, 500, Saturday morning coffee, and time with the “Troops.” She was an enthusiastic mother, wife, and grandmother. She enjoyed cruises from the bottom of the world to the top, as well as road trips without highways or maps, with scenic routes that led to finding new and special places. As a phenomenal hostess and cook, who cherished time with family and friends, she loved to laugh and tell stories.
She is survived by her loving husband, Gary; daughters Jennifer (Jerome) Weiland of Garretson, South Dakota, Stephanie (Jarrod) Wellik of Newton, Iowa, and Jessica Lundin (Brandon Burmeister) of Seattle, Washington; brothers, Charles of Webster and Kenneth of Nicollet; brother-in-law Gordon (Nancy) Lundin and sister-in-law Patricia (David) Kelly; grandchildren Travis, Kimberly, Madeline, Anthony, Rebecca, and Alden; several beloved nieces and nephews; and cousins, aunts, and uncles. Pam was preceded in death by her father, Gerald Weerts in 1988 and Ella (Covey) Weerts in 2010; mother-in-law Pearl (Miller) Fisher in 2011; fathers-in-law Gordon Lundin (1944), Clifford Fisher (1972), and Kenneth Hendershott (2003); brothers-in-law Clifford “Butch” Fisher, Jr (1994) and Kenneth “Bud” Fisher (1989); and her paternal and maternal grandparents.
