AJ Goodsell

Anthony “AJ” Goodsell, age 27, of Mankato, died Wednesday, March 29, 2017. 

A memorial visitation will be held on Saturday, April 1, 2017 from 2:00-5:00 p.m. at Mankato Mortuary.  Burial will be in Belmond, IA.  A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.

AJ was born in Mason City, IA to Michael and Jami (Gealow) Goodsell.  Family was very important to AJ.  He loved his children, playing with them, cuddling, and always giving warm hugs.  He was a big teddy bear that enjoyed joking and teasing.  AJ loved fishing, scuba diving, and collecting gems, rocks and crystals.  He was always happy to add to his collection.  He had a very deep and special bond with his brothers that couldn’t be broken.

AJ is survived by his fiancé, Bettie Lou Fox; children, Jordan, Adrianna, and Jaxon Goodsell; mother, Jami (Charlie) Goettl; brother, Zachary Goodsell; nephews, Tyson and Lincoln Goodsell; grandmas, Carole Gealow and Joyce Goettl; step-grandma, Carol Gealow; father-in-law, Jeff Fox; mother-in-law, Seak Kheng; brothers-in-law, Jacob Fox and Michael Fox; and sister-in-law, Rosie Graf. 

He was preceded in death by his father, Michael and grandpa, James Gealow.
